Cooperation is working together to accomplish shared common goals. Within cooperative situations, individuals seek outcomes that are beneficial to themselves and beneficial to all other group members. D&R Johnson (professors at Minnesota University) defined Cooperative Learning as “the instructional use of small groups so that students can work together to maximize their own and each other’s learning”. In our concept school, students learn in cooperative groups and develop not only the cognitive competences but also the social emotional ones through enquiry-based learning.Together we work to make the world a more cooperative and harmonious place to live.
Everyone is unique with different needs and different goals. We appreciate your uniqueness and we offer you mentorship, coaching and individual support when you choose to study with us. From your first contact with us we will provide you with individual attention and support.
Professionalism means to be competent. You will learn interactively and you will practise consistently in order to develop the EU key competences: communication in the mother tongue and in foreign languages, mathematical competence and basic competences in science and technology, digital competence, learning to learn, social and civic competences, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression.
The capacity of re-inventing you attracts success. We will develop your transferable skills that you can use in lots of areas and you will learn how to learn in order to enhance your metacognitive competences. Our teachers are lifelong learners and transmit this attitude to their students. Every month teachers attend workshops of professional development to create a lifelong learning community.
A person who is self-aware is able to achieve the individual potential. We admit the fact that you know your needs and desires best and we will support you in self-knowledge. Our curriculum is organized around the seven multiple intelligences (Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory): linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial/visual. bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal+intrapersonal (Goleman's emotional intelligence). CLAS also develops the candidate intelligences such as culinary, digital, technical, philosophical and artistic.
A good teaching method is already tested. All the educational approaches we provide come from the most recent international research (Harvard, Stanford, Minnesota, Verona, Cambridge and Oxford Universities) as well as our own great teaching experience of 25 years in Romania, Italy and England as international experts.
The Curriculum of England and Wales is a guarantee of academic excellence.
Diversity means richness. Our teachers are diverse in age, experience, nationality and expertize. A part of them are also teacher trainers. The pedagogical talent is a concept associated to empathetic, competent and keen teachers who develop constantly their own expertise. “Considering the student autonomy, the teacher spends more timp getting students to ask right questions than giving answers.” (P. Senge). Our teachers are facilitators who try to find out what students are interested in, using a student-centred holistic approach.
CLAS teachers also attend international conferences or training sessions organized by international organizations.

The more languages a child speaks, the more means of access to different countries are open to him. “To be fluent in two or more languages is an individual and social resource in contemporary Europe”, says the expert on bilingualism Leist-Villis. But the benefits go even further, as Dr Alexopoulou explained: “Studies show that a bilingual child is better able to cope with tasks that involve attention, memory or more linguistic systems increases cognitive flexibility and makes learning easier”. Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar and Cambridge represent methods which are incorporated in our multilingual programme.

A very tailor-made course of General and Business English in which language learning has became not only a lifelong task but also a great fun. Mrs Juliet's British-like accent is fantastic. It's a pity she left Italy. My daughter aged 8, did a conversation group course with her and only after 5 sessions she started to communicate in English very confidently. Great job!

A couple of years ago I had a wonderful teacher training experience with Julieta. It was a crash course organized by University of Verona. It was super! She managed to teach us new tecniques such as CL through a relaxing methodology. Every workshop was a pleasant example to give us the flavour of what a relaxing CLIL class with our students should be like. We had funny warmups, exciting teambuilding and demo activities. An unforgettable experience that I'll keep with me forever.

Our company did several Business English in-company courses with Ms Julieta Petre and the results appeared shortly thanks to her teaching method, materials and motivation. We strongly recommend the language courses organized by CLAS because they are well-organized, ‘tailor-made’ and funny.
